If you spend your much deserved ‘time-out’ in the mountains, you surely want to experience them up close and personal! …Or bike over them? Well… just take a peek behind the scenes of the natural park. Visit the park & ‘Mineralis’ mineral museum, it is one of the top sights in Sand in Taufers / Campo Tures. The Reinbach Waterfalls are another absolute must-see, as is the Castle Taufers. There’s plenty more to explore in this valley, home to the most 3000m peaks in South Tyrol. Hiking
Crystal clear mountain lakes, thunderous waterfalls, lush green meadows and pure white glacier peaks: that is the colour-palette you can expect in the Rieserferner-Ahrn / Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park. You will also find hikes for every difficulty level, from strenuous to easy – and even delicious! The latter especially if you do ‘Almhopping’!

Biking
Your bike wheels will spin right round, baby, right round – but in Sand in Taufers / Campo Tures even the most dedicated mountain bikers will get to relax. There’s plenty of trails covering loads of altitude difference: no matter if you’re looking to do 2000 or 1000 meters up and down mountains or prefer to do only a few, you’ll find what your heart desires. The next mountain hut is never far and waits for you with cool drinks and delicious snacks. The Tauferer Ahrntal Valley truly is any mountain biker’s dream come true!
